Kiwi Nicholson – Programs Director

Kiwi Nicholson , a baby-boomer born in Philadelphia, PA to a couple out of the depression survived a repressive childhood with oppressive consistencies that created his desire for exploration and change. Kiwi honed his working skills, started college, produced a beautiful daughter and played keyboard for the World Champion Joe Frazier’s Knockouts band. Traveling to resorts and country clubs with the band, he was introduced to the game of TENNIS. Upon returning to the community his new-found interest was met with ridicule and laughter; thus his tennis was temporarily repressed. Kiwi went on to serve in the Air Force and Air National Guard on local and international assignments. Located in Texas, he worked as an electrician, produced a son who also served our country as a fighter pilot for two tours of duty; started and operated a full service vending and equipment moving company while working in private investigation. Later he took a position with a real estate firm managing a portfolio of FDIC & RTC bank receivership properties. Kiwi took a territory with AC Nielson Television Ratings in Florida and maintained sample homes while honing his TENNIS skills.

He then landed his first contract with Aerotek Telecom Services and built network systems throughout the country until hired by Tellabs Inc. IL as site-supervisor for the entire northeast region. Having been re-introduced to the game of TENNIS, Kiwi is now an avid TENNIS player with a degree in Electronic Engineering, Computer Programming and a certificate in marketing. He purchased a home and five acres in the pines of NJ while establishing his TENNIS credentials well into the new millennium.

Due to the effects of the Enron and World Com disaster, he suffered great loss. He consolidated his efforts with TENNIS as an outlet. Kiwi’s food industry experience landed him a position at GA Food Service out of St. Petersburg, FL as an account manager for the Philadelphia Corporation for the Aging (PCA). He became the Northeast Regional Distribution Supervisor for PA, NJ, CT and operated the meal distribution program out of New York City.
